A Very Midterm Halloween
Putting an end to our costume speculation before it began, Christine O’Donnell revealed on “Good Morning America” last week that, despite her professed dabbling, she will not be dressing as a witch for Halloween. Instead, she is “thinking about just going as Dorothy,” she said. “I killed the witch. There you go.” O’Donnell’s opponent, Chris Coons, is playing it safe with plans to dress as a member of his favorite baseball team, the Phillies. Here are some suggested costumes for other political headliners:
Richard Blumenthal: A Vietnam vet Suggested costume: His actual combat fatigues from when he served in ’Nam. That shouldn’t be a problem, should it?Jimmy McMillan: High “Rent” Suggested costume: A video camera or guitar, some vaguely late-eighties clothes, winter hat, gloves (apparently they’re non-negotiable).Sharron Angle: The first Asian legislator in the Nevada State Assembly Suggested costume: None needed, apparently. And if she wants to accessorize with “Asian constituents,” perhaps those students claiming to be Hispanic can be her trick-or-treating posse. To see our suggestions for Carl Paladino, Carly Fiorina, and more (and to leave your own suggestions) click here.
