Phallic Tables & Parading Currency

Last night we attended the March of Dimes Las Vegas Signature Chefs Charity Dinner. I have no idea what the March of Dimes is, but I am assuming we were there to celebrate the end of the recession by enjoying a parade of avid coin collectors dressed as their favorite FDR currency.

Anyway, there event was really great. The food was amazing and a lot of money was raised. Local artist Jennifer Main even did a live painting during the silent auction which was then auctioned off in the live auction and ended up going for around $4,500. It was awesome to watch.

Also, kudos to the Palms Resort & Casino for putting on the event. Before we went in for dinner, we noticed that, after the silent auction was closed, the Palms had put there own spin on the design of the tables. Thanks George Maloof. Your choice of table really makes the statement, “This is no flaccid event.” ZING.
